Cut up the fabric into the sizes you want. (No juicers were used in this process!)
Mix dyes in concentrated form and add water to get lighter colors. Don’t forget the soda ash or chemical water.
Wet the fabric if you want the dye to flow.
Keep a piece of fabric handy to wipe up messes. You’ll be surprised what you get at the end.
Work in the garage because it really makes a mess.
Hanging fabric vertically lets gravity take over.
Lay fabric flat and on plastic for interesting results.
